The natural question when seeing such a near total monopoly on the print, television, and film industry between just a few major conglomerates is, "What is the consequence for free expression?" In such an environment, how are small producers and independent voices to be heard above the crushing weight of such empires? And how might this effect our ability to access information outside the control of transnational corporations?
This is most worrisome.
