Kill two birds with one stone - do your part to reduce global warming and help a homeless family get on their feet! Donate your used vehicle! If you have an older car, even one that isn't in premium condition, you can donate it to the Seattle Emergency Housing Service, and they will use the money to help a homeless family. They'll even come to your residence and pick the vehicle up!

Habitat For Humanity International Habitat For Humanity is former President Jimmy Carter's wonderful organization dedicated to eliminating the needless pain of homelessness and poorly built, dangerous and crime-ridden low-income housing through "sweat equity" and community support from concerned, active individuals. We encourage you to contribute to this organization through a donation at least, but we promise if you actually take part in a home-building project, you will be truly enriched and get even more than you give. Click on the link to find out how to participate.

Justice For Janitors   Can you support your family on $6.25 an hour? No full-time work, no benefits, no sick leave. Janitors face that everyday. And when on June 15, 1990, they conducted a peaceful demonstration in L.A. to alert the public of these facts, they were actually beaten by the police. Please visit this site and give your support to those who clean up your messes on a daily basis.

Economic Policy Institute   Please help support the Economic Policy Institute!

"EPI welcomes your support of our efforts to secure a prosperous, fair, and sustainable economy for all Americans. Your tax-deductible gift will contribute directly to our ability to lay out the economic facts, dispel misleading economic arguments, shape better public policies, and promote economic justice."

Overpopulation.net   A great resource, especially intriguing, not to mention disturbing, are the counters on the main page for Current World Population, Starvation Deaths This Year, Rainforests Acres Cut in 2001, Species Extinctions in 2001. In addition to providing information on overpopulation, it also has a mother load of useful and interesting links.
